So far I've created exactly one document using oo-writer. Which makes me an expert, right? :-)
I've always had trouble printing it, because the top half inch or so of each page was always being cropped. It didn't matter what method I used to generate postscript: print directly to printer, or to file, or export as PDF and print to file or printer from that, etc. Always, the top of each page was cropped. The common factor seemed to be postscript, but: Of course in addition to KDE's and Fedora's, every application also seems to have printer page size setting, which typically defaults to A4. Well give me "US letter" or nothing :-). It turns out oo-writer also has a page format setting (duh!) which I finally got around to noticing. (Told ya, I'm an expert.) Now here's the thing: this had defaulted (I have never set it) to some odd dimensions that are neither A4 nor US letter. Setting this to my printer's capabilities did fix the cropping problem. So my question is this: rather than remember to "format->page... page-> paper format" each and every time, how do I set this default for every document? I can't find anything under tools->options or tools- >configure. Douglas Frank HP Co. ZKO 110 Spit Brook Rd.
