Here's the situation:
I have a list of names, imported from another file, that looks
like this:
http://maxqnzs.com/screenshots/initcaps.jpg

Since Calc doesn't offer a "Title" option for the case of the
cells, I was wondering if I could separate the initial letters
into a new column, change the case of those columns to uppercase,
then merge the cells back together so that "homer simpson" becomes
first "H" "omer" "S" "impson" then "Homer Simpson". How would I go
about doing this?

Never mind, found it. I was after “=PROPER()” as it turns out.

Would you mind explaining how did you achieve the goal? May be using
OOo's Spellchecker?
What is this "proper"? I couldn't find any application/command with this
name (either in Linux Debian/Sarge or in OOo).
TIA and regards,
        Ennio.
