[OK, I promise, last post for to-day ... :-)]
Seems quite strange!
I opened a .sxc file (originally a .xls file imported in 1.1.4), deleted
the contents of one of the two sheets it has (the one containing some
garbled web stuff) and tried to save it as an .ods file:
the bottom line 'save document' bar filled almost completely with the
classic blue boxes but then An OOo Document Recovery box appeared
saying:
'The following files will be recovered:', listing the .sxc file as a
candidate for recovery.
Then 'Documents are being saved" and exit.
When I re-started OOo the above mentioned Recovery box appeared again
saying: '.sxc not recovered yet'. I clicked Start recovery and got again
my old .sxc file.
There seems no way to save it as .ods file, unless I open the original
.xls from 1.9.79 and then save it in .ods format.
I sent a couple of times the Error report appearing on my screen and am
uncertain whether I should also fill an issue.
What do you suggest?
Thanks for your attention.
Ennio.
File an issue and attach the file.
Borrowed from G. Roderick Singleton:
The best way to have problems such as this evaluated is to file an
issue. If you haven't already registered, do the following:
Go to <www.openoffice.org> click the Register link at the top right of
of the page. Fill in your information and reply to the confirmation
email that will be sent to the address you provided. Once you have
confirmed, go to <www.openoffice.org> again and click on the "Bugs &
Issues" link in the General links box.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It is important that you file
the issue to ensure reproducibility with your examples.
