Hello Joo

It sounds to me like you want to use the

Insert> Object> OLE Object feature in OOo. This will open a dialog box
where you will probably want the Further Objects choice on the list. When
you double click on that choice it will open another dialog box where you
can choose either an Excel Spread Sheet or an OpenOffice Calc sheet. This
will put an object in your current sheet that can be moved around and
resized very much like a graphic or photo. When you double click on the
object it will be opened and data can be entered

Is there such a tool in oo? Or something else that would solve the
problem (like for instance, a break in a certain row in the sheet, creating a new set of columns, allowing me to manage two

sets of columns in a same sheet (page))??

Does Window | Split help??

Kind regards,

No...
Imagine a table with specific width for each of the first 15 columns. What I want is to create/paste a different table underneath it, still in the same page (to print), but its columns widths are different, so it doesn't "fit" correctly! That would be solved by the "photo" tool in excel... I know that I'm "perverting" somehow the use of a spreadsheet editor, but it's so much pratical than MS word/ OO writer for tables.
