I have downloaded OOo 2.0 Beta (actually OpenOffice.org 1.9.79 ... us this correct, I mean is 1.9.79 what you call "OOo 2.0?)
I note the list of front end programs includes: Base (New!) Calc Draw Impress Math Writer
Where is "HTML"? I use the HTML editor in 1.1.3 quite often, but cannot find it in version 1.9.79

The HTML editor is still there, James, but it is not touted, as it is a minor feature of the suite. You may open HTML documents with OOo, create them from the File->New->HTML Document, or create yourself a new shortcut for going directly to the HTML editor, using "~/OpenOffice.org 1.9.79/program/soffice.exe" -web for the command. You can change the icon to one that suits your fancy from those included in the executable, as well.
