I've harped on this forever. Why people use CSV is beyond me.   TAB
delimited file are much more safe to use - avioding the nested quotations or
comma character issues.

Regardless, OOo should generically recognize *textual delimited data* and
open it in calc.  Even if it's a text file that happens to have an .xls,
.xlw, .qpw, .aaa, .xxx - *anything* extension - if it's textual delimited,
calc should win.

Threads like this come so regularly that it should be an FAQ.
Unfortunately, AFAIK, OOo 2.0 still will not offer a solution.
