All,
The new Set Up Guide needs you to review it and test it to make sure it actually gives good advice.
The guide is an attachment to <http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=37513>
Please review the RPM section, especially.
For other reviewing, contact G. Roderick Singleton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
If you spot an error in http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/23724/SETUP_GUIDE.odt do let me know. I used the Windows intructions I entered in the Setup Guide to update http://download.openoffice.org/2.0beta/instructions.html.
Also, I've tweaked the "Packages for Linux Distributions" section and included more information about Debian. But if you have information about the other Linux distros please let us know.
Regards Jacqueline
I'm a little confused as to where we send comments. The setup guide says [EMAIL PROTECTED], but you have indicated you want them sent directly to you. And should we also post them in a public forum?
You may post where ever you like but unless the comments and updates are
placed in the issue, they will receive no action.
I have posted and requested to this and other lists, and received feedback onlist and privately. Thank you to everyone that has assisted so far.
To assist people who may be a little daunted by commenting on an issue, as a minimum, I will add to the issue the links to the archives or the feedback received. Just so they will not be lost in my mailbox or through distributed replies.
Regards Jacqueline
