I am still trying to take some documents from old papers via scanner. I think that I solved the other problems with help from this list.
I have about 30 files, consolidating into one file OOo. I go to the original file, change to Lucida Bright 14 and para Indents Spacing Line etc. The page setting is in the main file wherein the separate will be consolidated, works. however, I finally noticed a subtle difference! Took some investigation and a prompt from that fading memory, (age and cold virus tend to do things to the head). It sure seems to be KERNING. Looked through HELP, found some stuff, Read some of the PDF files found some more, yeppers KERNING. Question: How does one decide what the kerning space betwixt letters should be? Lucida Bright 14 shrunk to about a 10 when printing brochure. 0 looks not bad but maybe 0.3 would be better, 1.8 is just too much, slows my reading. Any suggestions?
