Well the issues start with line 3 of your Chapter on Databases and Tables which states that one must have Java installed. I checked and this computer does have Java installed. I would have been greatly surprised if I had not of installed it when I installed the system but I check anyway. I also checked to see if OO recognizes that java is installed. OO does not even though Java was installed when OO-1.9 was installed. So first issue is how do I get OO-1.9 to recognize Java? Second I noted that I need to use a new JDBC driver which I know is not installed. So installing this driver is the second issue with making connections function. Any suggestion would be helpful.
