With the right cable, Windows will network through the parallel port. If you're interested in trying that option, I have the pin-out somewhere.

onto a floppy so I can put it on this dionasaur? I need help!

Assuming you are using Windows. Get a piece of software called WinRar. This can compress the OO.o install files into a self-extracting archive that is split into floppy size chunks. Copy these chunks onto your laptop (you can do it with two floppies runnning a relay between the two machines) then run the file with the exe extension to re-create the OO.o install files on the laptop. You can download a shareware trial copy of WinRar from
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
NB You may be told that WinZip does this, but the trial copy will not split the file into floppy size chunks. I hope the trial version of WinRar still does.
