That's the best suggestion yet! I have a 128Meg that I got for about
$12 on sale that has OOo, Firefox, and Thunderbird on it with room to spare!

I have a really old laptop that has no CD drive and not internet
accessable...I only want to use it as a word processor so it is good
enough- except I can't down load my CD of open office to it and can't
download it into a floppy from your web page (the file is too large) is
there a way to download (even just the word processing ) onto a floppy so I
can put it on this dionasaur? I need help! PLEASE!
I think that your best option may be to but a USB key - one with about 128 mb
of RAM should cost less than $30 I think. They ask a friend to download the
OpenOffice.org installation file, copy it to your new USB key and then plug
that into your old computer to retrieve the information.
