O.K., I give up!

I've been resaving spreadsheets from Excel and Quatrro Pro (saved as Excel). Some of the spreadsheets have the horizontal and verticle gridlines that mark each cell removed, giving the spreadsheet a clean appearance of a plain sheet of paper with only the data on it. I can easily remove the verticle and horizontal grid lines in Quatrro Pro and Excel, but how in the world do you toggle them on and off in OpenOffice Calc?

Tools -> Options -> Spreadsheet -> View (I run the Swedish version which says "vy" and I think that "view" could be the original word before translating). There is a checkbox for you to uncheck. I am not sure about what they say in English but I am sure you will find what you are looking for there.

Maybe it's possible to add a button with that function to one of the tool bars. If not I am sure you can make your own button and assign it to a macro doing the same thing. Maybe there is a keyboard shortcut too? If not, you can probably make one.

Tools -> Customize -> Keyboard, then you will figure it out, I think.
