Hi,
I would like to combine my MS Office Word documents with my MS Works
documents, but MS Office Word will not recognize Works. Will Open Office be able to
combine both software packages? Is Open Office compatible with MS Office
Word?
Thanks for your help.
Ellie
Hi!
I just took a look in the Open File dialog and there are very many different formats supported, but I could not find Works in that list.
OpenOffice is 90-95% compatible with MS Word, at least that's what they say. You can't run the Visual Basic macros without making a lot of code changes... Text boxes might need to be moved and resized etc. At least it's quicker than writing the whole shit all over again.
About Works, doesn't Works have some kind of Save As to make it possible to save in other formats? I text document maybe can be saved as a RTF or Doc etc?
