You have to put the vertical line in quotes, "|", and had I not recently seen the discussion about the x'_0, and that you can use x^"/" as long as you use quotes or something like that, I wouldn't have even thought to guess that.
I couldn't locate the part about putting things in quotes and why the vertical bar would need to be in quotes.
Not trying to say it's not there, I just couldn't find it.
Thanks!
Ah so. You have to open the TOC entry Formula Reference Table and scroll down the lists to find the one you want. The vertical bar is in Relations section. That help?
Awesome!
Now, and I appreciate this, I feel bad for making you my help gopher, but can you find anywhere in the Math help about the need to put an operator in quotes?
I searched for text, quotes, and ". The only place I even see it used in the help is under OOo Math Examples > Attributes.
I am just wondering if a line like, "if you want to use a symbol that is reserved to do something in OOo Math, you must put it int quotes", is in there.
Thanks!
Quite frankly I don't remember. I went through Math for the User Guide (http://tinyurl.com/5u8bt ) so if there is an answer it's there. You might also want to check the OOoAuthors guide ( http://tinyurl.com/5u8bt ) as well. These and other docs are available via the documentation project.
Thanks. I have edited and worked on the oooauthors version and I Don't remember. I haven't looked at the user guide.
Mostly I wanted to know if I missed it before I sent in a bug report.
Thanks for you help! :)
