OK, I did find a solution in the end: it was just a question of wording
and the function 'subtotal' has nothing to do with it: it suffice using
=sum(Xn:Xnn) or clicking on the sum sign (left of the cell edit window).
BTW, what is achieved with the '@grandtotal' (i.e. sum all and only the
subtotals in this column) command in Lotus 123, is done again by 'sum'
in OOo.
May I suggest that a note be included in the Help?
