We have all seen the problems caused by the dialog in the Setup which invites users to associate OO with their MSO documents. The angished cries of 'Open Office has taken over my system'. And all the work people on this list have to do to help people re-assign their file association on a regular basis.
Folowing a long discussion on the discuss list, which you may not have seen, Issue 46397 has been filed to request a change to the dialog. Can I ask you all to take a look at this issue and vote for it, if you agree with it. The sooner we get this dialog changed, the better, as far as I am concerned.
