Concerned Persons:

I am attempting to make use of the feature of printing a document (whether spreadsheet or word) to a file, so it can be sent via email. Every time I have tried to use this feature tonight, I keep getting the message Program Not Responding. When I try to open the print file (prn extension) either with Adobe or Open Office, I keep getting a message that the file is corrupted in Abobe and I simply get a blank document with Open Office. What's going on here?

I would sure appreciate some guidance here. I am using the manual I following directions as written.

Tom,

A .prn file is a copy of the data stream output by a specific printer driver and its only merit is that it can be copied to the specific physical printer that it relates to at a later time.

If you want to e-mail the output of a specific document and have it readable by the recipient, then the preferred format would be .pdf and you could achieve it by exporting in that format by using: File/Export as PDF... If you haven't customised your toolbars there will be an Export as PDF button already present.
