Boy is that a hard site to get on - for me with time out on server at 30
seconds the norm.

That particular site is not meant as a mirror so in general they do not
expect a lot of people to get on it. The link that I provided is indeed
slow, but I found the "sub-links" to be faster. Most people will obtain
the official releases, even the official development releases, from the
mirrors. The link above is a special case, so to speak.
