I run OOo off a 40 GB portable HD so I can use it at my work place.
Does the portable HD have the operating system on it?
From my questioning around, the way to have OOo operate of a 'stick' is to havethe install on the stick as well, then install the suite back onto the stick. The install then puts the required thing-gees in the operating system (registry etc I believe) so that it will then work.
Is this correct?
Chris
No, my portable HD does not have an OS on it. I installed OOo on to it as I would on to any other drive.
