Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Tools>Options>Internet>Email is set to the path
for the Sylpheed executable. And OO recognizes it well enough to bring
up a blank Sylpheed email form when I click on the envelope icon or use
the File pull-down menu. When the OO file -- in this case, Swriter --
hasn't been save yet, OO will attach the file to the email form. Once
the file has been saved, for example to ~/user/Stories , OO will still
bring up a blank Sylpheed email form. But it no longer automatically
attaches the file to the email. That's when I have to step in to do it
manually. BTW, I'm saving the files as Office 97/2000/XP *.doc files so
the MSOffice- bound folks at work can read them.

I mentioned Thunderbird only because I've tried that with OO 2b as
well, and it does not encounter the problem. OO will attach the
file from wherever I have it stored onto the blank TBird email form.

Best,

Pete

P.S. My beta version is 1.9.79; if there is a newer beta version, I
could try installing that and seeing how the baseball bat swings.
