As a comparative novice with OO , I am hoping that someone will tell me how to create a query criteria in a field that will achieve a filter result like Lotus Approach "contains the character(s)" For example, in my Address Books I have a field entitled 'Categories'. A contact may be given several different categories, ( ie. he may belong to different named Clubs etc.) . My problem in this example is to create a filter to compile a list of contacts belonging to one particular Club. It is simple to do in Approach using the above named filter, and I remember I used to be able to do it in a very old Sidekick Address Book I used to operate, so I'm sure there must be a way of doing it in Star, (if only I knew HOW!)
