I'm stuck with the question of converting a doc written on OpenOffice.org1.1.3 to MS WORD 2000
Konstantin,
1) On the File menu, choose Save As...
2) Toward the bottom of the dialog box that pops up you should see a drop-down menu labeled 'Save as type:' that has 'OpenOffice.org 1.0 Text Document (.sxw)' selected by default. On this menu drop down to select 'Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc)'
3) Make sure you have entered the file name you wish to use, then choose 'Save'.
You should now find a .doc file in the folder to which you just saved the document. That's the format Word 2000 uses, so unless the document was particularly complicated, Word should be able to open the file and it should look just the way you created it to look in OpenOffice.org.
