Hello!

I'm Peter Boross from Hungary, I use OO.o 2.0 beta (1.9.91) under Linux.
I have a question:
How can I set, that in OO.o Calc, a set of cells (for example: result field for a complex calculation) were no editable?
If I changed the input values in an 'input' cell, the content of 'result' cell could change with the pre-programmed way, but the direct overwriting of the 'result' cell with a numerical data should be impossible (=should be available only with password)?

Sincerely,
Peter

The help file, at least the English version, gives good instructions for this under "protecting; cells and sheets". However,

1. Select the cell or range of cells you want to protect.
2. Right click on one of the selected cells.
3. Select Format Cells > Cell Protection
4. Select the options you wish to set and click on OK
5. Menu > Tools > Protect Document
6. Select either Protect Sheet or Protect Document.
7. Enter your password twice.

Only cells you have formatted with Cell Protection (Step 3) will be restricted.

I hope this is the information you were seeking,
Doug
