On the other (off-topic) hand, just think about the time it takes. I'd say (from experience and from conversations with other writers) you'd write about three pages per day - if you want any quality.
That would mean it'd take little over 913 years to finish the book. Even if you wrote an amazing 30 pages per day it would require almost a century.
So, better start now. I'm sure OOo will be able to handle the whole book before you're finished, anyway.
