unfortunately it seems that it's still impossible to reference paragraph numbering - or maybe there is some way to do this ?
(though i just figured out how to reference outline numbering =) )

I should know how, and can do it in 1.1x no sweat, but in version 2
I'm going crazy trying to get some basic cross referencing to work.
At this point I've become so frustrated I cannot see anything
anymore. A little nudge in the right direction will help:

In a text document:

Cross referencing a heading: Can headings be crossreferenced at
all? If so, what's the go?

Headings themselves cannot be cross-referenced but they can be bookmarked and the bookmarks referenced.

If you are talking about having a reference to a particular Heading in another part of the document, this is possible. Here is how I did it:
1) Highlight the Heading you want to cross-reference. Insert > Cross-reference. Click on Set Reference in the Type list.
2) In the box below Name, enter a name for your Heading reference (Part or all of the Heading name for example).
3) Click on Insert.
4) Go to where you want to reference this Heading. 5) Insert > Cross-Reference. Click on Insert Reference in the Type list.
6) Click on the name for you Heading reference in the selection list.
7) In the Format list, click on Reference and then on Insert.
8) If you want to also have add the page reference, click in your document after the inserted cross-reference and add a space and the word page. Then return to the Cross-Reference window. Select page and then click on Insert. (Then close the Cross-Reference window.)
