I do not think it is possible since OOo (as per the linked post) opens the document based on the the view that is saved with the document.
For instance, if a .doc file was last saved in word using one view, it will be opened in that view when opened in OOo. However you can control the view if you are creating a blank document and this is mentioned in the linked post as well. HTH, Paul On 4/24/05, Harondel J.
