One thing that I know is : "Germany neu-ortho." is the dictionary that applies the new othographic regulations (since 1996 !). If you want to write German, this is the right dictionary. If you want to find words in older texts, the first one should be adequate. I suppose that the third combines both of them (all possible forms of the words, ald and new). Maybe someone else gives you a more precise information.

Thanks, yes, that's kind of what I thought, but I would be particularly interested in finding out whether "Germany-comb ortho." offers an option to differentiate between old and new.
Perhaps I'll just have to install it and find out :-)
