I downloaded your 2.0 beta version the first of April.

It appears that there are some fixes on your web site that need to be
downloaded and installed.

I have read your web instructions for downloading but, they appear to be for
the full installation.

I am using windows XP sp2.

Can you tell me what files need to be downloaded and how, or what files they
should be added to?

Short answer: There are no patches, just complete releases.

Long Answer: What you downloaded is actually a developer snapshot which is the entire suite at its current development level. These snapshots are released periodically, but at least every two weeks. The changes in each snapshot may be extensive and it isn't practical to patch the program.

Yes, it may take quite awhile to download the complete release, especially if you're on dialup, but once it's downloaded, it's a matter of minutes to install the new snapshot. Each version of OOo, developer or stable, peacefully co-exists with all other versions that may be installed on your computer, although the latest installed version does become the default for opening OOo files (and Microsoft Office files IF/WHEN you select it during installation.)

If the frequency of changes is troubling to you, it may be wise to download and install the stable release, version 1.1.4.
