I think that's the problem. I wonder what can be done in such cases, as there seems to be a lot of them around. perhaps a well-placed "MS Word wil open .doc files normally even if you have used them in OpenOffice" - or something - will do it?

The question is where to put that message so that it is well-placed... :)
