[users] lost images/ user presentations

I looked under "image placeholders."  It did not matter if this box was 
checked or not.  I could not view the images on the slides.  
Thank you for your help, but so far none of these have been the thing.  I 
still have a tiny square in the upper left hand corner of each slide with three 
colored shapes, but no slides.  Crazy!  Any other possibilities?
