That's really cool. I just set it up. I had no idea that option was
there in Mozilla (and TBird). It's hidden under "Customize" in the
select fields drop down in message filters.

Yes it has been described before :)
Look for the field "Delivered-to:" and if it has the value "moderator" then
the moderator let it thru :) Several people here have filters setup in
Kmail/Mozilla/etc to mark such messages.
