The projected timeline for a stable release of 2.0 is on the website. http://development.openoffice.org/releases/OpenOffice_org_2_x.html It appears that they will have a RC(release candidate) next month with a stable release in June. This is always subject to change, but I would guess that there will be a stable release no later than August. I have been using OpenOffice off and on since before the 1.0 stable release in both Windows and Linux.
