OpenOffice does not produce fonts. If you've been to the web site, and understand english, them I'm sure you would have seen the text on the home page which goes something like this : " OpenOffice.org is both an office suite and an open-source project." I don't see anything there to do with fonts. OOo is a replacement for MS Office. It is a suite of products that include a word processor (writer), spreadsheet (calc), presentation (impress), etc.... > >>I come from the Planet Earth, > >>speak and understand English and have degrees in the sciences and the > >>arts... but I dont understand why I cant get fonts from you guys and > >>gals. Install the fonts using OS tools and they will be available for all programs run on that OS. Now - where can you go to get fonts. Its a little tricky so I'll type slowly.... Go to www.google.com and in the search bar type "free fonts" (without the "" marks). You should get just over 11 million hits. Spend some quality time going through these and install the fonts that you want. > >>or should I just uninstal all your stuff cos I'm > >>too stupid to have a computer? Who is your Boss? Yours sincerely, > >>Stewart Soutar The other thing that you should have learned from your hours reviewing the OOo site is that OOo is open source and is supported by a community of people who devote there time to supporting the product. Most of us do not get paid, ergo, we do not have a boss. Don't take this as if there is no common vision/co-ordination etc.... If you would like to pay for support there is that option as well. I apologise for the tone of this, but people who write arrogant emails such as this to volunteer lists annoy me. Instead of attacking simply ask the question.... you'll find people more than willing to assist. /paul > > > > This message is more appropriate for our users list and I am forwarding it > > there.
