I am trying make my own toolbar icons, but after fooling around a bit I guess I messed everything up a bit...

In C:\Program\OpenOffice.org\user\config\soffice.cfg\Bitmaps (Windows 98, Swedish) there are 6 files at the moment:

hcuserimages.bmp
hcuserimagesmask.bmp
image0.bmp
image1.bmp
userimages.bmp
userimagesmask.bmp

I guess I need to know more about these. What's the difference between hcuser*.bmp and user*.bmp?
I have two different images, image0 and image1. Shouldn't I need a image mask for each one of them?

My problem, at the moment, is that one of my user icons looks fine, but the other seems to be "masked"; I can only see a part of it.

Maybe I should reanstall OOo (1.1.4) and start from scratch?

Which is the proper way to create user icons? I just loaded one from C:\Program\OpenOffice.org\share\config\symbol into GIMP (I guess Paint would be ok too), edited it a bit and saved as a new name to the same folder. When selecting it in OOo, image0.bmp or image1.bmp was created in C:\Program\OpenOffice.org\user\config\soffice.cfg\Bitmaps I think, maybe along with some of the other files available there at the moment.

Any ideas where to read about this?

Thanks in advance
