Maybe you lost your work. The right thing to do was to save the document in OO format first, and then to save it again in MS Word format. From my experience, I know that complex tables are not always converted correctly, so you would anyway to have to control the result within MS Word. Can you open your document with Word ?

Hi,

I used OO to create a complex 6 page document with numerous graphics and sections of two and three columns. It saved without error message into MS Word XP format (as required) but after that OO could not open it. OO went into repagination (for reasons unknown) and then failed to respond to the operating system.

(a) what's happened ?
(b) how do I recover my document which right now cannot be opened ?

thanks

John McLean
