Using Win XP Pro and OOo 1.9.95

OK. I type in the OOo Math window "f(x) - sum from(0) to(5) (x^2 + x + 5) and then press enter. I now have a beautiful equasion drafted and displayed in OOo math.

So far I have learned that I cannot copy it and past it into Writer or Calc, I select all and copy, but it seems to reject the use of the clipboard, as the previously stored text is still in the clipboard and not replaced by the Math copy.

So ... since you cannot use the equasion generated, of what good is the Math module???

Does anyone understand what I am saying?

The way to use it is when you are in Writer, select Insert -> Object -> Formula. This will open a window at the bottom for the Math editor where you can enter your equation like you did above and the formatted equation will appear in a frame in your document. There is also a button on the main toolbar for insert object and one of the object types is formula.
