Using OpenOffice, you will be able to use MS Office documents. But if 
you want them to be used again by people who do not have OpenOffice, but 
only MS Office, you will have to save them in MS (Word, Excel..) format. 
If your documents are complex, maybe that MS version will not be exactly 
as the OpenOffice version. Try, and decide.
