The difference between .95 and .100 is visually zero IMHO but, under the hood lots of bugs have been sorted out - but others have been found too - the suite is still under development - it is still a beta veriosn which means that it may cause problems. If you want more info see this page: http://development.openoffice.org/releases/1.9.m100_snapshot.html

I don't know yet, but .100 should be more stable and thus more useable - look at the issues section and read it carefully - if anything looks as though it may cause you problems then maybe you should wait for the final release version - otherwise download and use the program and you can even report any bugs you come across.

If .95 is not causing you problems stick with it - if you want to try out some of the new database functionality then give .100 a look - but even then I would wait - I don't use the Base part yet because it is still 'work in progress'. But I do use Writer and it works OK - but can fall over sometimes. Back-up, back-up, back-up and all will be fine - do not back-up and tears could result. If this puts you off - wait until the final version of 2.0 is out.

I agree with Paul - unless 1.9.95 is causing problems in terms of crashes, you should wait a while before upgrading - even if the upgrading process is painless - although uninstalling via windows does seem to take a while and could give the impression that things have crashed - this is not the case though.

Personally I'm using 1.9.95 and usually don't feel that it is worth
upgrading to each and every new developer release. Usually I'll miss
2-3 releases, then upgrade.

What do you recommend to someone using 1.9.95 in
regards going to the later 100? What is the
difference between 95 and 100?
