I doubt that support for Win95 is "intentionally" terminated, but since Microsoft no longer supports it, there really isn't much reason to spend much time coding for it. I would suggest that you use OOo114 at present and install OOo115 when it is released which will give you read access to the new OASIS Open Document formats.
