Hi, I have one question re an earlier post, and a few other VERY general
questions.
[1] For Jonathon, I have a feeling I may start a holy war, but I need to ask
anyway... Why?
Can you elaborate on your preference to 1.1.3 over 1.1.4? I have 1.1.4 and am
having some issues- which I attribute MOSTLY to age (my own- causing my desire
to change less then it was in years past) & time (that which I need to put into
learning OOo's in's & out's).
I'm still very curious as to your preference. Are features different or do you
just find the earlier version generally more stable? It may be an irrelevant
topic since OOo 2.0 is near release.

and go to 2.0 when it is released.)
Depending upon what you use OOo for, 1.1.3 can be better than 1.1.4.

[2] Are pre-orders of version 2.0 being taken somewhere? Where should we be
ordering the program in order to BEST promote the project?
[3] As I'm still having my Writer 1/2 size print problems, I have a 2-part
question [sorry... 16years of medical retirement may have taken me out of law,
doesn't take the law out of me...thus, my novella.]
Can you post the link to all the OOo lists? I have it in one of my MANY
"OOo ref doc's" OOo File, but have SO many of these that I can't locate it. I
want to determine to which list I should be posting specific questions.
While the OOo documentation is EXCELLENT and highly extensive, I'm from
the old school of print references;
Can I get some feedback from others on additional recommended print/ online
reference sources. I bought Mike Weber's OOo book with the 1.1.4 CD's, have
most of the OOo documentation in a 3-ring NB, but I occasionally have more
extensive questions and would like to research all possible solutions before
posting my questions. Tho if learning something I think others would find
beneficial, I surely add it to the list; I'd like to ensure that I'm using the
appropriate list, however. In this case, I'm curious if version 2.0 will have a
workbook or print reference available for purchase with the CD's, and if so if
there will be one which would directly benefit the OOo project.
That's all.
Thanks in advance. louann [EMAIL PROTECTED]
