If 2.0 is expected to be out shortly, why will there be a 1.1.5?

I installed the version 1 of OpenOffice, but I really would like to install the version 2 beta, can you tell me how can I do it?
Thank you

The version 1 program, specifically 1.1.4 - soon to be 1.1.5, is the current stable release. You can, and should, leave that installed, while you download and install the developer snapshots (betas).
The installation process is nearly identical. I use the WinZip Checkout funtion to uncompress the distro download. Winzip uncompresses everything into a new subdirectory and creates an Installation program group. When you're finished, closing winzip automatically removes the subdirectory and Installation group. Very convenient.
The two versions will not interfere with each other except that the Version 2 installation becomes the default for opening all OOo files when you merely click on the filename in Windows Explorer.
