I suggest that you use either use 2.0's File > Templates > Organize or do what I do, simply copy my templates into $HOME/.openoffice org1.9.xx if they are personal or, for ones that are global, into <path to>/openoffice.org1.9.xx/share/ where <path to> is where you installed OOo2. Now back to paragraph styles. Like I said above they should just be there regardless. If they are not, then we have a problem. I know I don't have the same OS as you so it would help if you would tell us as this may be distro specific.
