Paul,
If I understand what you are describing, your suggestion will create
vertical gaps in the text flow if the image size is larger vertically
than the text paragraph length.

That is something I am trying to avoid.  By narrowing my document margins
and moving the images out of the text area, I get nice continuous text
flow.  In addition, my left and right margins stay even because text
is not wrapping around an image.  Or rather, that is what I'm aiming
for.  I haven't figure it out yet.

But perhaps I misunderstand what you describe.  At any rate, thanks
for the follow-up.
