One person complained because she downloaded the Linux version and tried
to install it on Windows. That's why this is a "tech-support" list.

Please forgive me for being a "dumb-ass" .
I'm old enough to know better, but I've only
had a computer for nine months in my life.
Yesterday, at the urging of friends, I tried again
to catch up to the 21st century. I went onto the
web, found Tech-Pro Zip, and a Java download,
and then got Adobe Reader 5.1, all of which
enabled me to successfully download your
excellent OpenOffice.org program, which I have
already tried out this morning, sending a letter
in PDF format, and it works wonderfully.
Please accept my apologies, and if you will,
put me back on your email list. I'm an pensioner,
so I can't contribute a whole lot, but I can certainly
spread the word about this great program. This old
Windows 98 on my old 2nd-hand computer came
with Office 2000 Premium, and from what I've seen
of your OpenOffice.org program, I'd say yours blows
theirs right out of the water. It doesn't have a lot of
silly frills, but it does have a whole lot of features that
are very useful, and really get the job done.
Thank You for it, and please forgive me.
Ray Sutton.
