The only thing wrong is that it should have been in the download, Roderick. Or a pointer (did I miss it?) to the link above. It was not the problem I was worried about once I had inspected some of the rpms with mc. The install was un-eventfull, and the limited amount of testing I've done so hasn't found *any* warts. Looks good, and may be faster than 1.1.4, but thats rather subjective. Following Murphy's Law, one normally expects the newer, bigger version to be a bit slower you know. :-) >On Sun, 2005-05-15 at 10:10 -0400, Gene Heskett wrote: >> On Sunday 15 May 2005 09:52, Gene Heskett wrote: >> >On Sunday 15 May 2005 07:52, James Elliott wrote: >> >>Hi Jeff >> >> >> >>Thanks for your reply. >> >> >> >>I have never had a problem before and have downloaded every >> >> version of OOo that has been so far produced. >> >> >> >>Unless I missed something, this time there only seemed to be 2 >> >> choices: 1. download the 1.9+ beta version, or >> >>2. download the 1.1.4 Stable version using Bit Torrent - I >> >> couldn't see any HTML option which, like you, is what I have >> >> used in the past. >> > >> >I just now found the patch for 1.1.4 was available as an html >> >initiated download, and the latest m100 beta is also coming in as >> > I type, so maybe we were a bit premature? >> > >> >For those lamenting the lack of other versions, I cannot see >> > anything wrong with restricting it to the latest beta and the >> > latest stable versions. >> >> However, I was not prepared to find that when I un-tarred the m100 >> download, that it was all in little pieces, in rpm format!
