Sorry if this has come up before, but I've checked the list archives, and tried various queries on google.
I'm having some problems with fonts in openoffice. It's a new install on debian Sarge. The fonts in documents show up fine, but the user interface is composed wholly of rectangles and there are no letters to be seen. I've tried using the "font replacement" option - replacing Andale Sans UI with various other fonts, but this has no effect. Any ideas what to try next? Let me know if you need more information.
