On a new Fedora Core 3 Linux installation, with the latest oo updates installed I am getting the following message whenever trying to start any oo application:
The application cannot be started. Couldn't create mandatory com.sun.star.office.OfficeWrapper service!
The solution was to unintall openoffice and re-install it. Thanks to Paul and Roderick for suggesting this.
The four packages involved were:
openoffice.org-kde-1.1.3-9.5.0.fc3 openoffice.org-libs-1.1.3-9.5.0.fc3 openoffice.org-i18n-1.1.3-9.5.0.fc3 openoffice.org-1.1.3-9.5.0.fc3
I got fresh copies from
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/3/
I don't think that all of them were necessary, but they were sufficient.
