Subject: [users] using medical dictionary or spellchecker
Hello, I looked at adding languages in the spellchecker options, but I think that it would be great to have professional terminology spellchecking options, too. I have different CD ROMs for medical dictionaries, but it would be great to have it incorporated into the spellcheck. Is there any way of doing this, or do I need to just build up my unique terms in my personal file? Thanks... it's a beautiful program! Sincerely, Howard Homler MD Sacramento, California
I searched the users list on the words "user dictionary" and found the following: http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=discuss&msgNo=18272 . In the discussion are directions for creating a specialized dictionary. I do not write code or do programming, but the directions seem simple enough to me. Then, if your sources on CD are or can be exported/saved as text files, you should be able to import them easily.
