Windows XP.   Searched for both suggestions, found neither.  Went into my browser history and found Open Office mirrors and inside it ftp://openoffice.mirrors.tds.net/pub/openoffice/stable/1.1.4/OOo_1.1.4_Win32Intel_install.zip.  Clicked it and it downloaded itself.  Winzip came back and I figured it out from there.  OOo is installing as I write.  Your suggestion made the difference.  Thank you very much.
