Hi Tim, Thanks for your interest in OpenOffice.org. Unfoturantly to answer your question, no, OOo can't open Appleworks files. However, Appleworks can save as MS Office files, which OOo can open.
Also, StarOffice, the Sun Microsystems version of OOo, can and does open, edit, and save as Appleworks files. It is available on the Sun website for free if you are involved in education, and is sold for as little as $50 online. http:///www.sun.com/ Also, if you are going to be working with a lot of Appleworks files, Apple made a Windows version of Appleworks for students and teachers. It's available on the Apple website I think it costs less than $70. http:///www.apple.com/ I hope this helps! -Chad Smith On 5/23/05, TIM WINFIELD <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Can I open Appleworks documents in the Windows version of Open Office? > > Thanks, > > Tim Winfield > > > -- -Chad Smith *G-Mail ROCKS --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
